If you have ever wanted to learn more about the lives of the Saints of North America, a wonderful resource is now available in the Holy Trinity Bookstore. Portraits of American Saints by George A. Gray contains the lives of all the saints of North America and a few that have not yet been canonized. The book is being sold at the parish bookstore at a discounted price of only $10. Thanks to the support of the parishioners of Holy Trinity, Holy Trinity Orthodox Bookstore opened in December of 2007. Three oak book shelves now line a section of the parish hall with a selection of Orthodox book titles, CD's, icons, and devotional items. Inventory is constantly being updated, and all profits go towards buying more items for the bookstore. We hope the bookstore will be a source of edification for the faithful of Holy Trinity and a helpful resource for those in the surrounding community who wish to learn more about the Orthodox faith. The book store is open regularly on Sundays after the Divine Liturgy and by special appointment as needed. Matthew Finke manages the inventory of the bookstore. Feel free to contact him at spruceisland @ gmail.com with any questions/suggestions as well as placing special orders. Melody Thompson manages the volunteers of this ministry and if you are interested in volunteering your time to work at the bookstore, please contact Melody. If the bookstore does not have something that you are looking for, we can usually special order it from one of our many suppliers (listed below). The price indicated online is usually the same price we charge at the bookstore. Shipping and handling is free when you order through the bookstore. We ask that special orders be pre-paid. You can request a special order by contacting Matthew by e-mail, or by writing down the item and your contact info in the "Special Orders" green notebook located in the black container on top of the center book case. Please alert Matthew that you have requested a special order.
