Vacation Bible School

This past June 23-27, our kids and their buddies took an imaginary "Trip to the Holy Land." The parish hall and lawn were transformed into a first century Palestinian village, complete with a house, stable, workshop, market place and synagogue. Children and teachers were invited to relive first century life by wearing the costumes of the period, and learning customs and crafts from the time of Christ. They learned that the Bible at that time was a series of scrolls written on parchment, and got to make their own scrolls and learn how to write and sing a bit in Hebrew.
